The Fine Print
Privacy Policy
We’re in the business of pouring drinks, not trading data. Here’s what we collect, why, and what we’ll never do with it.
Effective date: August 5, 2026
Who we are
The Sapphire Lounge is a wine and cocktail bar at 414 Oneida St., Minocqua, Wisconsin 54548. This policy covers our website, sapphireminocqua.com, and our text messaging program. Questions about any of it? Contact us.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, and message, so we can reply.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe to hear about events and special pours.
- Calls and texts: if you call or text our number, we receive your phone number and the content of your messages so we can respond.
- Website analytics: like most websites, we use cookies and analytics tools (Google Analytics and PostHog) to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, general location, device type. This helps us make the site better; it is not used to identify you personally.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and messages.
- To send the newsletter you asked for.
- To send text messages you’ve opted in to receive.
- To understand and improve how the website is used.
We don’t sell your personal information. Ever.
Text messaging
If you opt in to text messages from The Sapphire Lounge — whether by texting our number or signing up for updates — the following applies:
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
- Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get assistance by replying HELP.
See our Terms & Conditions for the full details of the messaging program.
Who we share with
We share information only with the service providers that make the website and our communications work — our web host, our email newsletter provider, our text messaging provider (Twilio), and our analytics tools — and only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. The non-sharing commitment above for mobile opt-in data applies in all cases.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages, subscriber lists, and text conversations only as long as they’re useful for serving you, and we delete them when they’re not.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter any time via the link in any email.
- Stop text messages any time by replying STOP.
- Ask us to see or delete the information we have about you by contacting us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here with a new effective date. Continued use of the site or messaging program after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Now, back to the good stuff — the menu.
